Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of this site and, at a high level, how I engage with clients through A Blank Canvas. Each consulting engagement is governed by its own written proposal or scope of work; where a proposal and these terms differ, the proposal wins.

Services

I provide AI and automation consulting — strategy, implementation, and ongoing support — for construction and engineering businesses. Work is scoped in writing before it starts: what's included, what it costs, and what 'done' looks like. Advice is given in good faith based on the information you provide about your business and systems.

Bookings and sessions

Discovery conversations are free. Paid working sessions are confirmed once payment is made. You can cancel or reschedule a booked session up to 24 hours before the start time at no cost; cancellations inside 24 hours, or no-shows, may forfeit the session fee. If I need to reschedule, I'll give you as much notice as I can and the fee carries over.

Pricing and GST

Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise — displayed as "$X +GST". GST is added at invoice. Payment is by Stripe payment link or invoice, with payment terms stated on the invoice.

Intellectual property

You keep everything that was yours before we started, and I keep my pre-existing tools, templates, and methods. Unless the proposal says otherwise, deliverables built specifically for you are yours once they're paid for.

Confidentiality

I treat your business information — project data, documents, systems, and anything else shared during an engagement — as confidential, and use it only to deliver the work. I expect the same in return for my materials and methods.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for any engagement is capped at the fees you've paid for that engagement, and I'm not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Questions about them? Email [email protected].
