Automated quantity take-off — Nexus Sentinel

My own product build: AI applied to quantity take-off, extracting measured quantities from project drawings with every measurement traceable to its source.

The problem

Quantity take-off is high-volume, repetitive, and error-prone — the same measurements read off drawings by hand, then re-keyed into estimates.

Manual re-work is slow and inconsistent, and it's hard to trace a number back to the drawing it came from.

The approach

Built Nexus Sentinel as my own product: AI that extracts measured quantities directly from project drawings.

Made every extracted measurement traceable back to the drawing it came from, so estimators can trust and check the output.

Designed it to make estimating faster and more consistent, with less manual re-work — not to remove the estimator.

The outcome

Take-off moves from manual reading and re-keying toward review of extracted measurements, with the source drawing one click away.
